Aren't those like *required* elements of any angsty story? Any fangirl could tell you that . . . IT'S THE ANGST. That's all that matters. The more, the better. The more extreme, the better. Rape and incest are just the best angst story elements, to be handled in any ham-handed way required. (Oh, and if that makes those involved realize their OTP, it's even *better*).
