There's a whooole lot of stuff that would take forever to explain in detail, regarding the Scarrans having the technology to duplicate people, but not the whole exact-copy thing that happened with John -- they're called bioloids, and look exactly the same, but don't have all of the memories, et cetera. Sikozu (your favourite person *g*) is actually a copy of the original Sikozu, whom we've never seen. Anyway, the Scarrans captured Stark, and copied him, to torture Scorpy. I'm assuming that the copy still retains the abilities of the original, since Bioloid!Stark was quite happily frying Scorpy from behind his mask. (And yes, his hair was fucked.)

Anyway, yeah -- real Stark gets freed, but we never get the chance to find out what happened to him. (From the sound of it, there would've been more about him in s5. Man -- more Stark, and more Braca; I would've been in heaven. Especially since Harvey was back in business, too.)

Oh, and it turns out that Stark used to work for the Scarrans (whether willingly or not, I'm unsure) -- he helped them pass over into death, until he was captured by Scorpy. Fun.

It's a big shame, really -- there were some good ideas in this season, but they got fucked over by The Big, All-Important and Incredibly Creepy Love Story of John and Aeryn. Even a lot of the 'shippers (beyond the most rabid) were put off by it.

Bah. Methinks some pictures are required. And I loved the first half of the season so much, too. Baring a couple of hiccups along the way, it wasn't until the final four or five that I became disappointed.

Yay, Stark

Yay, John
