*sad smile* Its a long story,,,, *shrugs it off* I can give a general idea though.
My parents and I lived secluded, off in some woods who-knows-where. As I grew older I wanted to explore, meet new people, go out. So I left. The first herd I encountered was generally an evil herd. I was young, I didn't know much yet except what my parents had taught-not much. So I joined them, *hesitates, taking a breath* my personality changed to fit circumstances. The way I acted about the Poison/vampire episode was what I was like all the time. Of course, everyone else was like that too, so I wasn't any worse than them. That's where I met Merlin. *a little uncomfortable, a little sad* We became close, very close. After a while we decided to leave the herd, who didn't 'approve' for political reasons. We traveled, mountains, deserts, everything. Finally we ended up back where I had grown up. My mother had died when I was a child, but I had not expected my father to......he was dead. I couldn't stand it there, so again we took off. This time to the beaches, islands. We found a nice place, all you had to do was swim a small channel and you were on a gorgeous paradise. A couple years passed, life was good. Perhaps fate thought it was too good, maybe it was bad luck. I don't know. There had been a couple sharks loitering around the island for a few days, it had happened before. Since there was no grass we depended on the seaweed, a nice substitute. It grew quite thick on the south side of the island, a little ways into the water. *waits a moment, recalling every detail* He went to get some, didn't come back. I waited, wondering for while. Finally, a little annoyed, I went to see what was taking so long. He was always a little bit of a prankster. The water was red, there was a stench in the air. I guessed what had happened. There was nothing left, nothing but the cold red water, horrible. I only waited until the sharks left, until it was safe to swim the channel. I swore, I'll never go near an island again. *thinks a moment, shivering a little* That wasn't exactly short, was it?
