Chris, I have never meet anyone who served there in Lippstadt who didn't thoughourly enjoy that posting! It's amazing how many memories of that location come back even after so many years! My main memory concerns the infamous Capri bar along from the Bahnnof along the strip and the Metropol nightclub. Spent many happy times at those and numerous other great locations in that fair town of Lippstadt. 22 Signals Regt were a great bunch of lads who shared the Camp with us. Cannot remember of any anomosity between them and us Gunners so to speak! It is a great shame that they ever closed that Camp down! The only good thing that they turned the Sargeant's Mess in to what it always had been.....a Kindergarten! Nothing changed as far as that was concerned! One of the best postings that I ever had!
