Robbo mate, at the risk of alienating you as well as Jim, I'd take that story with a good dose of salt. First off, I, personally, can't see the cosequences of a nefarious deed carried out by a foreign Army (even a Commonwealth Ally) having any impact on our honour in any way. Nowhere in my research on the net with regards to the lanyard, have I come across any mention of the wearing of two lanyards! All the 'legends' that have anything to do with the lanyard, are variations of the theme already stated on this and numerous other military boards, i.e. the colour and which side it is to be worn on! Once again, I would like to say that I can't believe any Army would sanction the wearing of ANY BADGE of dishonour! But these stories do make nice snide comments from the jealous sister arms, you have to agree........
