Derek, Thanks for the Info, concerning Sid. As DP says, you are the 'Oracle' I wish my memory was as good as yours!....
Speaking about Sammy Houghton, here's a couple of other names to conjure with concerning some of our 'Black Watch' contingent. Johnny Haynes and Errol Lewis. Bumped into Errol just a few years ago at Wolverhampton Railway Station, me going south and Errol coming up from London.
Saw this black fellow giving me the eye-ball, and thorought that he was either gonna try to mug me!....or sell me 'Dope'...He immediately recognised me from our days in fally!....Incredible!...He is living down-south and comes Home to visit his folk's who still live locally in the Black Country. Is'ent Life stranger than fiction!...
Speak to you soon....Regards Jim.
