Tony, You have hit a soft spot there!....I definately adore Folk music, I did then,and still do now!....Magic.
What do you expect from somebody off 'A'sub Gun with guys such as Tommy Walker and Billy Hamilton always breaking into song over a drink!....I still know all the words to majority of the Rebel songs that we used to sing,so many years ago. I was at that 'gig' that the McCallums gave at the Fally Folk Club!....What an unforgetable night that was!...I can't remember exactly where the Folk club was located,though I believe somewhere off the Range road. Candles burning on the tables,Cans of Tennants in the hand,and listening and singing along with these people with your friends and comrades was an experience I shall never forget. I believe even some of the officer's attended that particular 'gig'!....Jock Stoddart for one.
We were blessed with talent in them days.......Don't you think?.....
