In Sonnet 130, Shakespeare makes the reader believe he despises the looks of his mistress, but the couplet at the end changes the mood by him saying that he loves her. Shakespeare mocks aspects of the traditional sonnet by having the second to last line have 11 syllables, most likely having "heaven" be an entire syllable in itself.
