I lay there on the battlefield
No other precious soul lay near.
Until a sight cause me to yield
A wounded soldier without fear.
I've seen this man before, but where?
Where have I seen him walk about?
Have I seen him through more dispare
Than my own life could ever shout?
Is this the man who shares my dreams
Of home and peace and happiness?
Is this the one whose face would gleam
When back at home we would play chess?
Tis my brother. Why die today?
When so much grows now fades away...
