First make sure that your shocks front and rear are working properly, 8psi front & 40psi rear, and rear shock setting on #4, Tires 36psi front, rear 40psi, If this is all correct it should go up easily if not, check the plate that the large lever is welded to, it must be completely paralel with the plate nearest to it. Check feet of stand must be completley flat and even with each other, if one looks kinda bent up in front, put a popsicle stick in the uneven space and it will lift like magic. Also if your suspension system is not set correctly like I said above and you cannot make it Work, You can put a 1" or larger board under the rear wheel and see if that helps because if XII is bottomed out it will not go up on center stand and center stand ONLY will work on EVEN smooth HARD surface. When first stage is deployed it should just touch the lifting surface.
If all this fails you will have to remove it to see what is bent or binding & match it with a new one. It cannot be off at ALL!! Had one where the "BIG TOE" was welded a 1/4" to high on one leg from the factory & it would not work. discovered it with the popsicle stick trick.. Hope this helps & good luck and let us know what you find.
