- It had been too long. Too many tears shed and ill words exchanged. And yet, here they were again, continuing on with this endless waltz. Tired gaze discovering this mark, a form of the golden band that she had placed first upon this male and now sought out, a mask of metaphorical ice glazed over her features. Show no reaction and give no satisfaction to your victor. Was that not the rule of thumb? basically. And yet, at the moment that she most desired to turn away, Briallan found that she could not. Perhaps, had she not struggled when she had been mortal and allowed Zeth to have his way, the pain would not be so terrible. Yet, there would still have been that loss. How horrible that sensation was! How fortunate that a male does not carry life within the most sacred temple of his body and the have to experience the loss that comes with it. Her gaze finally broken, she spoke once more to him with a voice so fragile that it seemed to plead with him. -

Please Zeth. May I have my ring back or must I grovel on my hands and knees?
