I'm too tired for this shit, Marz thought as he flung a pot of java at a zombie that came at him, waving a sword. The creature let out a loud yelp when some of the hot liquid splattered in its face. That surprised Marz since he didn't know that undead could feel any pain.

By the time the creature recovered from the shock of the hot java, Marz was on his feet with his sword in hand. Although his reactions were slow due to the sleeping powder he unknowingly consumed, he met the zombie's blade with is own, the sound of metal upon metal ringing through the air. With his left hand, he picked up the chair, brining it over across the zombie's shoulder, knocking him back a few paces.

The room appeared to be filled with the combative creatures. Why the hell are they attacking us? Marz wondered. Hadn't the queen given them orders not to assault her houseguests? He swerved to his left when the zombie lunged at him again, then spun around to sink his blade into the thing's side. The sight of blood pouring from the wound astounded him since zombies never bled before. Briefly, he met the creature's eyes, which stared back at him instead of gazing lifelessly into the distance. Pushing aside his surprise, Marz kicked the severely injured thing away from him then turned to meet another foe that approached him from the side.

One again swords met in the kiss of battle. Marz desperately tried to will himself to snap out of the lethargy he felt. He was moving too slow and already his arm was tiring! After ducking a thrust by the zombie, he took it off guard by spitting in its face. When the creature tried to blink away the spittle from its eyes, Marz shoved his blade into its heart!

The ex-gang leader withdrew his sword as the zombie fell to its death, but didn't turn fast enough when he saw a dark shadow looming up behind him. He bit back a yell when he felt a dagger plunge deeply into his lower back then jumped forward falling to his knees when he tripped over the body of the dead zombie he had just killed. His attacker came at him again, the dagger aimed at his neck this time. Before it could reach its mark, a throwing knife implanted itself into the creature's forehead, knocking him back and to the ground.

Ignoring the pain in his back and the blood he felt rapidly seeping into his shirt, Marz looked up and met the eyes of Ravin, who was preparing to throw more knives at two zombies that had Tia backed into a corner. Fighting against fatigue and a grave injury, Marz got to his feet, and staggered toward another of the undead foes. He was determined to kill as many of them as possible before he fell to his own death!

Tia was holding her own against one of the zombies, but fear coursed through her when she suddenly found herself outnumbered two to one. She screamed when a blade managed to slice across her shoulder, yet she continued to fight bravely, swinging her sword from left to right. Shock filled her when both zombies dropped their weapons and tumbled to the ground at her feet. It took her a moment to realize they each had a knife sticking out from the back of their skulls. Relief replaced her shock, and she smiled at Ravin who rushed forward to retrieve his weapons before hurrying off to find more targets.

While gripping her sword hilt tightly in her right hand, she palmed a dagger in her left then moved to aid Jeremy who was having some difficulty with the zombie who kept trying to chop his head off with an axe. "How does it feel to be outnumbered?" she hissed at the creature before tossing the dagger into its stomach.

"Look out!" Jeremy shouted when a number of the creatures lifted the liquor cart and flung it directly at them.
