Corum had watched as Dalo, and Eremis got their gear together to leave. He really hadn’t thought too much about whether Eremis could heal that well or not, he simply was one of the people in the adventuring group. Dalo, on the other hand, was always causing a problem for Marz, and this naturally led Corum to side with Marz, thinking the beast master was the bad guy.

But for now they had left the group, and Corum had to be content with it, not that it mattered much, but it really didn’t faze him one way or another. For now he was happy to have a good friend like Marz, and a new friend in Tia. However, in the back of his mind, he knew that she liked Rowan, and that Rowan liked her, it was quite simple, not to mention obvious, for anyone to see. But he wasn’t interested in a relationship so to speak, he didn’t think one would ever occur; he was only happy to have gained her for a friend, a very close friend, and for that he was content.

Valhorek shortly joined the group, and Corum remembered how the man really knew how to heal, and fight. Perhaps it was a good idea, at least for Marz who was always getting injured for some reason. Now that led the youth to wonder why Tristan had dragged Marz from the table so quickly. It was a bit odd, and he decided he would find out. “I’ll be right back,” he stated to Tia, as he got up, and left the table.

When he got to the top of the stairs, he heard a skirmish coming from Marz’s room. As he placed his ear closer to the door, he heard Marz’s voice saying, “Cause I’m about to kick your ass with my mighty pillow.”

Corum smiled, and opened the door. Sure enough, the ex-gang leader was trashing Tristan with a pillow. He noticed as Tristan tried to grab a pillow. Corum quickly ran to his room, grabbed two pillows, and immediately came back. “I’ll save you Marz!” Corum yelled as he started to thrash Tristan, and Marz together with both of his pillows. “IT’S CLOBBERIN TIME!”

********************

Valhorek noted Tristan sitting with Marz, and he recalled how the herbs that were commonly used on everyday people, reacted differently, and with unusual affects, on the dragon. He had made a mental note to insure that he watched what was given to the man. Marz, on the other hand, was another story. He had healed the youth several times in the past, and was quite knowledgeable on the youth’s background history.

He was surprised to see Ravin enter the room. The thief immediately extended his hand welcoming him to the group. The healer was quite shocked to hear that Ravin and Kyri had separated. Valhorek had been on board the ship when Kyri had disappeared off of the vessel. It was said that she was still alive, and the healer had to wonder what had caused this unending. But since Ravin didn’t want to speak of the issue, he let it lie.

The memory of Blossom quickly came back to him as he remembered the wedding he had attended, where he had found Blossom sitting alone in the forest. They had shared one dance, and wound up talking for the remainder of the night. He had enjoyed the woman’s company, and wished he had had time to associate with her. He thought that by now Blossom would have forgotten about him. It was quite evident by Ravin’s remark that she hadn’t. Perhaps when they arrived at the next large city, he would purchase a unique gift for her. It sounded like a good idea.

Valhorek asked Ravin for directions to the rooms. Ravin pointed out the stairway, and Valhorek quickly exited the dining room, heading upstairs to the bedrooms. He finally found a vacant room, and deposited what gear he believed he wouldn’t need. He then returned back to the dining room.

He poured himself another glass of whiskey. Early on in life he had gotten accustomed to its taste, as well as its potency, and had slowly built up immunity to the hard liquor. The Rovers always had a good stash of their whiskey, which he simply loved. It had a special kick to it. Perhaps when they returned to Bizmar, Ravin could put in a good word for him, and obtain a cask simply for his own use.

He simply decided to listen, and observe for the time being. There were a few people he was not familiar with, and rather than jump into a subject he was not fully suited for, decided to absorb whatever information was at his disposal. He was thankful for Erlic’s intervention in getting him to come to Neromba to serve as healer, as well as fighter, and he would do his best as both. Plus, he was glad to be back in a land he had gotten so accustomed to. He was also sure that his crew aboard the Azusa would also be looking forward to setting foot on familiar soil since they had all originated from the Nerombian lands. He was also looking forward to gathering the special herbs that only grew here in this barren land, and possibly catching up with their medical practices as well. All in all, it was already proving quite interesting.
