Subject: Short lived battle

Erlic had managed to see that the others had fought the spider people, and their numbers were dwindling. Since he was at the back of the pack, he started to make his way forward, using his specialty weapon to trip up the spiders, as he moved in to attack them from behind.

He was just about to kill the last one when he spotted one of the Jann moving in for the kill, and he held back, turning around to make sure that no more of the vile creatures were around.

When everything was to his liking, he made his way back to the campsite to make sure everyone was all right. He should have been more resourceful, and kept someone as a guard rather than presume that no further attacks would be forthcoming. For now he vanquished that thought realizing that they would be leaving this place to scour out the other two temples.

He finally made his way next to Jade, and was glad that she hadn’t been injured. “You did remarkably well,” Erlic commented with just the slightest hint of a smile.

Valhorek had been dosing in one of the buildings trying to get some sleep when he finally awoke. Not knowing how much time had elapsed he decided it was in his best interests to get up, and see what the rest of the group was doing.

He was on his way toward the campfire when he spotted everyone drawing their weapons. He looked around, and spotted the spider people, and quickly took off to help. One of the creatures lunged toward him, and he merely swung his broadsword, decapitating the creature’s head with one blow.

He quickly turned, and realized that with the help of the others, the battle was short lived. He made his way back to the campsite, where he found Isobel holding her side.

“Let me take a look at that,” Valhorek stated. Isobel, like Marz, obviously didn’t appreciate healers, so Val simply had to force himself to look at her wound. “I’m the healer, and I’ll look at your wound whether you like it or not!” Val commented until the woman finally settled down.

The healer simply shook his head wondering at the woman’s obstinacy. If she would have kept walking around with that wound she might have punctured a lung. “You’ve got a broken rib, one that’s very close to your lungs, so I suggest you hold quite still.” Valhorek employed his psychic healing powers to mend the injured bone, but realized he’d have to wrap it. He looked at the woman, and strongly suggested she lift her tunic partly so that he could bandage it. After getting another gaze from Isobel, Val wrapped it tightly.

“There,” he finally stated once he was finished. “Now I’m happy.”

Corum had just opened his eyes, and was wondering where he was until the fact suddenly dawned on him that he, and Tia, had been frolicking in the water, and had come here to get some rest. He finally managed to wipe the sleep out of his eyes, and got up from the bed. He looked around and noticed Tia still sleeping.

He moved toward her bed, and appreciated her elven beauty. She looked so adorable just lying there so innocent, and all. “Hey Tia,” Corum stated as he tried to shake her awake. The woman’s eyes opened spotting him immediately. “I think we slept long enough, although I don’t know how long it’s been. Why don’t you wake up, and I’ll get us some java.”

With that Corum left the building, and walked toward the campsite when he noticed the various dead bodies of spider creatures lying around, and some of the group returning to the campsite. When asked, the Jann explained what had happened. Since there was nothing further to worry about, he simply retrieved to mugs of java, and returned to the building.

“Well we did it now,” Corum stated getting the attention of Tia who was now fully awake, and still looking quite lovely. “Seems we got attacked, but the others managed to kill off those lousy spiders. Here you go.” He handed her the mug, and sat on the bed next to her.

Once they were done, he helped her get her things, and they joined the others who were now back at the campfire.
