Jeremy could see how confused Saras was yet he didn't know how to make him feel any better. After all, he was only sixteen, and unaccustomed to giving advice to others. Hell, he didn't even know how to solve his own problems, relying on drugs to push them away and make him feel happy again.

"You don't have to be a woman to be beautiful," he said, while fiddling with a strand of the genie's hair. "Art is beautiful, yet it has no gender. The same is true for sculptures and other things."

He glanced up and met the genie's eyes. "Anyway, real beauty comes from inside, Saras. Some of the most gorgeous people in the word are ugly inside, and they end up with nothing but their looks to keep them happy. Trust me, it's a lot better to have friends who care for you than it is to look nice all the time."

The otherworldly youth shrugged, wondering if what he said made any sense. "Come on. Let's go back in the water so you can rinse off some of that sand then we can take a nap. Sometime tonight we'll be heading to the ruins of Twilight, so we need to get some rest now."

He got to his feet and held his hand to Saras, assuring him that he wouldn't drown. "We'll stay at the shallow end and I'll keep an eye on you at all times." Hand in hand they made their way into the water. Jeremy helped the genie wash his hair, and even squeezed it out for him.

Once Saras was finished, Jeremy led him to a nice spot under a shade tree. "It's so hot out here that we'll dry off in no time! We better try to get a little sleep now." The otherworldly youth laid on his side, used his arm for a pillow and closed his eyes. He remembered that the fanatical Sharm were living in some tower in the ruins and wondered what others dangers might be lurking in the place.
