Isobel was about to head back to camp to leave Ravin to his privacy when she felt a touch on her arm. "Don't go," Ravin whispered to her. The effect on her was very strange indeed. It was as if someone had opened something inside her that had been closed for a very, very long time. Someone needed her. Someone wanted her comfort. That had not happened since her father had died.

She turned to Ravin and was drawn into an embrace. She wrapped her arms around him, laying her head against his chest, her hands softly rubbing his back. "Those visions unnerved me because I have no idea if they speak of the past, present, or future. For all I know, my family is under attack at this very moment." He said quietly before pulling back a little and resting his forehead against hers. She looked into his eyes... so filled with worry.

"I am so sorry, Ravin," she said, trying not to let her voice catch.

They sat down on a fallen tree and Ravin explained the situation with Tegol Denair. She listened, nodding occasionally. "It's me he wants, not the Rovers. If any of them suffer under his hand for what I've done, I'll never be able to forgive myself," he said.

When he took her hand she squeezed his softly, smiling reassuringly as he said "I would be more than willing to sacrifice myself if it meant that it would keep them safe." How she ached to make everything right for him!

She smiled again as he thanked her for being there with him. "Oh Ravin... how could I not be? It... it does not seem right to just sit there eating fried snakes while you are in such pain."

She laid her head against his shoulder, one hand rubbing his back softly. "I am here whenever you need me, Seņor Ravin. And I will help you defend your friends and your family. Hopefully the man Erlic has been in contact with will have good news soon."

Isobel squeezed Ravin's hand again as she said, "You know... it is not your fault, what the evil Denair is doing... he may be doing it because you disrupted his plans, but it was he who began the whole business by having your mentor killed. Any blame for this is on him, not you." She sighed and turned to look into his eyes, her hand lifting to his cheek to turn his face to her. She leaned up and kissed him lightly on the lips before looking into his eyes again.

"We will make sure your people are kept safe... or we will die in the trying." She said firmly. She suddenly thought of something.

"Ravin... is there perhaps some way we can put Argus' mirror to use in our fight?"
