Jeremy was glad that Saras felt well enough to speak a little. The otherworldly youth had been craving a friend to talk with for the longest time, and hoped he might have found one in the genie. At first, Rowan spent a lot of time with him but lately he treated him like a kid and kept his distance.

Corum wasn't any fun to hang around with either because he liked Tristan, and that made him a jerk in Jeremy's eyes. How could anyone like such a snobbish, standoffish, bastard anyway? Tristan must be really great in bed. Why else would Marz bother to keep him around? Sure, Rowan insisted they were in love, but Jeremy couldn't see that. Hell, they sure didn't act like any of the young couples back home that claimed to be in love. Well, they did seem to act a lot like the really old married couples that rarely touched anymore, now that he thought about it.

"I wish you knew something about love and relationships," Jeremy said to the genie. "Cause I could really use some advice in those areas. I thought Rowan would help me, but all he does is preach to me about how wrong I am about things."

Jeremy looked up when Raven asked for help to scale the fish then shook his head. Although he saw his uncle Paul filet fish a number of times, he never tried to do it himself. When he noticed that Saras had finished the candy bar, he pulled out two small bags of Cheetos. "This is my favorite snack food," he said, handing one of the bags to the genie.

Before tearing open his own bag, Jeremy lit one of his special cigarettes, blowing sweat smelling smoke from his lungs a moment later. "Tell me more about genies, Saras. Are they all as pretty as you are? Do some of you have a home nation like the humans do, or do you all live in lamps? You said you're good with fire. Are different genies better with things other than fire?" He took another drag from his cigarette and waited for Saras reply.
