Author: Holy Slayers
Subject: Assassin blurb

Three Holy Slayers, devoted to the illustrious god, Kumazo the Cunning, hid behind an outcropping of rocks, and eyed the camp of the Jann, over a hundred yards away. The magical cloaks they wore helped them blend into their surroundings, making them nearly undetectable.

Alakbar, the prince they sought, was sequestered away in one of the many tents of the Jann. It would be foolish for them to attempt to reclaim him now while the camp was alive with activity. They would make their move at night, gliding like deadly shadows across the terrain, leaving death and destruction in their wake. The Jann would be left untouched since they had no quarrel with them. But the humans who had discovered their secret mountain headquarters would be murdered in their beds. The blood that poured from their slit throats would nourish the land and grant the Slayers a special place in the afterlife beside the handmaidens of their god when their own deaths came.

One Slayer looked down upon a shadow that crossed his path. With lightening speed, his small blade pieced the body of the desert scorpion that thought to sneak up on him. Quickly, he removed the poisonous sack from the creature's underbelly before eating the rest of its remains and mentally sending up a prayer of thanks to Kumazo for providing such wondrous nourishment.
