Sarosh stared at Tristan with open confusion. He would have liked to question the dragon, but soon after his apology, he wandered off, leaving Saras quite uncertain, and without the chance to ask for some sort of explanation. He couldn’t even begin to fathom why Tristan would say what he had said. He had put much time and study into choosing the most attractive features for himself. What was confusing? Was it because he had not picked one obvious gender? But if he had done that, he would have had to be limited, and taken the more bothersome qualities of one that particular sex! Oh. He could have made himself into a perfect man or a perfect woman, but he would still not be perfect. While more beautiful it was said, women’s bodies did not have the upper body strength of a likewise sized male. A larger body also tended to have less endurance then a smaller one… So he had picked the best combination! A male torso but slender enough to pass as a woman’s and thus both beautiful and functional. By combining the best of the two, he had taken the best of both, which he just assumed made him even more perfect then had he picked only from the two separate sexes. He was as beautiful as he could be, without being limited to only one gender. Sarosh decided he would have to corner Tristan sometime later and ask on this further! Had be horribly wrong in his logic?

No. that couldn’t be it.

It had never occured to Saras that there was a different kind of beauty in a flawed and imperfect thing. That limits themselves offered something that appealed to people. By choosing a body without one clear gender, he had ultimately lost of some of what was beautiful about it. But he certainly didn’t know, or realize that. To himself, he was the ultimate perfect being, clear and simple.

Still wondering about what the Dragon said, but likewise, still not able to really understand it, he wandered off towards where Ravin and Isobel had run off to, hoping to find his master. Maybe Ravin would know what Tristan had meant. He was vaguely concerned since Ravin was his to take care of as best he could, until his wishes were granted...

Sarosh wandered, peeking into the tents until he found, much to his surprise, an injured Ravin being taken care of by the healer. Quietly so not to disturb the thief too much, or be in the way, he found himself a cushion and knelt down on it, taking hold of Ravin’s hand, determined to be there when the thief woke up in case he needed anything. Anticipating that Ravin would wake up hungry or thirsty or both, he Carried as much food into arm's reach as possible so he woudln't have to go too far from Ravin. Absently, while he waited for his master to wake up, he reached over and began to munch. He didn’t need food to survive, but it certainly was very tasty food. Food had improved greatly since the last time he’d had a master, he decided. He would try as much of it as he could before having to go back into the Flask!
