Sarosh hadn’t had the intention of leaving Ravin’s side until the man woke up, but when Jeremy came, and he brought words which all but seduced the genie. While he should have been looking after Ravin, he couldn’t help but not want to talk about himself. Tristan’s earlier words, which had been bubbling in his mind were completely forgotten as Jeremy reinforced his belief that he was indeed perfect. He let himself be led away to the food tent, quite glad for cheerful company. Company which appreciated the splendour that was him.

Sarosh was getting food for himself and chewing absently at it, basking in thoughts of himself when yet another person came in. Jeremy quickly introduced him, and explained his origins--without mentioning the horrible flask that Ravin had been sure to tell everyone. Saras look at Jeremy, nothing but gratitude and something close to adoration filling his large dark eyes. Jeremy almost seemed to understand him!!

“I grant wishes,” Sarosh said, puffing up a bit, proud, despite the fact that although he had to grant them, he had no powers with which to do so. “But only the most special wishes.” he added quickly. “Only if the heart truly desires it. But I don’t live in a bottle… Most D’jinn live in lamps. It‘s quite shameful actually to live in anything but a lamp…” And I’m shameful enough to live in a flask!!“because Lamps are the prettiest, and they bring light in the darkness. Just like us.”

Saras accepted a glass of wine from the pretty woman and smiled. Although she had made a mistake of where the D’jinn live, she was curious about him, and Saras could forgive the little mistake if it meant he got to talk about himself. He sipped properly at his wine and helped himself to a bit more food. Although he got no real nourishment from food there was a spot in him, where the magic used to be, that was always empty. Sometimes, if he ate enough, the empty feeling would lessen and he wouldn’t be as hungry. As far as he knew, that was all food did for him, besides taste wonderful. The wine helped fill that empty spot faster then usual.

“I suppose I’ll be going to find the sea of salt with you…” he said, “provided Ravin is going of course. I need to be at his side to grant his wishes.” he explained. “…what is in the Sea of Salt?”
