Marz really couldn't get into the drawing Laurel was focusing on because he wanted to play music, not read it!

"F-A-C-E" she said, pointing to the spaces between the fives lines she had drawn. "And, the notes that lay directly on the lines are, E-G-B-D-F. Combining certain notes makes up a chord."

Yeah, whatever, Marz thought, stifling a yawn. He glanced at Jeremy, who was sticking something into Valhorek's ear. A moment later the healer began playing a strange sounding tune on the lute.

When Laurel concluded his music reading lesson to go help Ravin with something, Marz wanted to jump for joy. He had grown quite bored with watching her draw little circles on the lines she called a staff. Now it was time for a little action! He thought of swiping the lute away from Val but decided against it when he saw nearly everyone dancing. Watching the half-naked women of the tribe bounce up and down around Corum was really a treat.

I gotta get me one of those hot little numbers, he thought with a grin. His dark eyes darted around the camp, searching for the perfect dance partner. When he heard Tristan's voice, he immediately pulled his eyes away from the curvaceous woman he had been staring at. Marz grinned when the dragon complemented his playing then frowned when he brought up the chakra practice. "No way do I want to do raking jumping jacks right now. Let's dance instead!"

Before Tristan could protest, Marz pulled him into his arms and spun them around in circles a couple of times. He didn't hold the dragon close for long since the song Val played was much too fast for intimate dancing. When he spotted Jeremy jumping around to the music like a madman, Marz tried to mimic his actions. Apparently this was the way people danced on the freaky youth's world.

By the time Val ended the song, Marz was panting heavily. "That was awesome!" he said, between gulps of air. He looked down when he felt a tug on his shirt and smiled at the little girl he saw. After accepting the jug she handed him, he dragged Tristan off to sit before the campfire with him.

"We'll do the boring meditation shit later," he said when he saw the look on the dragon's face. Marz popped the cork off the jug then lifted it to his mouth for a long drink, licking his lips a moment later. Since he never had brandy before he had no idea that was what he was drinking. "This stuff is great. It tastes just like fruit juice." He was in the process of taking another drink of the beverage when Jeremy plopped down beside him.

The otherworldly youth passed out his funny cigarettes before lighting one up from the campfire. "Wow! Did you guys see all those topless chicks dancing to the music? I bet this is probably better than any strip club they got back home."

Marz nodded although he wasn't quite sure what the hell he was agreeing with. He stared at the cigarette in his hand then shrugged and lit it. The first drag sent him into a coughing fit, but once it passed it became easier to deal with the inhaled smoke. He guzzled a little more of the liquid from the jug then gave Tristan a lopsided grin. "I saw you talking to Tia before. Did she say anything about Corum? We need to get the two of them together because I think they make a perfect couple."

"Hot damn!" Jeremy shouted, drawing strange looks from everyone in the camp. "I got this great game that really brings people together. It's kinda like spin the bottle, but this time you get to spend three minutes in a dark cave with the person the bottle lands on, doing whatever you want to do to each other!"

Marz laughed after taking another drag of the cigarette. He felt awfully mellow all of a sudden. "I like it so lezz do it!" he said, slurring his words a little. "We juss gotta make sure that Tia gets stuck in that cave with Corum at some point. When that happens, we'll give them a lot more than three raking minutes to do their thing!"

Jeremy tossed the butt of his cigarette into the fire before jumping to his feet. "LISTEN UP DUDES AND DUDETTES!" he shouted. "Gather around cause we're about to play a kick-ass game!"

When he finished his announcement, he ran off to talk to one of the men of the tribe. A moment later he returned to the campfire and pointed to a nearby cave that had a large animal skin covering the opening. "I worked it out with the big shots," he said with a grin. "We can use that cave for the game. I hear it has a bed made up of a hill of soft bearskins! And I have a tiny three minute sand timer in my pack so we'll know when the time's up for each couple."

The otherworldly youth bent down and snatched a dagger from its sheath at Marz's side. "Since we don't have a bottle we'll use this to spin!" He waved the dagger in the air while shouting out once again. "Come on everybody! We're ready to play the three minutes in a cave game now!"

Jeremy grinned from ear to ear when he saw a few of the topless tribe women sit down by the fire, giggling and whispering among themselves. Obviously they wanted to join in on the game and that only made the youth more eager to get things under way.
