"I want my communication mirror back now. I also expect you to replace my invisibility cape that got destroyed because of you. Once we get to a city, you can buy me a new one or hire a mage to enchant a regular cape, but I want it replaced as soon as possible!"

All righty there. Let’s step back and examine this for a minute, shall we? The kid is definitely suffering a posttraumatic vision of grandeur, not to mention a bout with the real world of reality. Like who the hell gave him permission to start spewing forth abnormalities…cancel that….gave him permission to start dwelling into the world of the unknown without proper supervision? Huh? Huh? Exactly my point. I say we arrest his ass on the charge of schizophrenic abnormalities, and let him deal with it.

Corum wasn’t sure who had just confused him more, Marz, or Yorik. He really didn’t understand Marz’s drastic change in wanting his mirror back, but he really didn’t care considering he had never used it. He rummaged through his sack, found the abovementioned mirror, and handed it back to Marz. Why he would have to pay for a cape that Marz had told him to wear, and hadn’t given him the password to make him invisible, was totally unknown to him. But if Marz wanted his cape back, Corum would have to see to it once he got to the next city. He simply didn’t understand why Marz had gotten so upset about such a trivial matter, since he never wore the cape anyway.

If you are paranoid-delusional, we know who you are and what you want. Just stay on the line so we can trace the call.

“Sure thing Marz,” Corum simply stated in reply, as he turned to get his backpack.

Erlic wasn’t totally worried about Marz, but he was a bit concerned. The chakras were not considered a toy, and weren’t meant to play with. In the majority of cases, people worked to open up the chakras to experience the peace, and tranquility they afforded. However, anytime a chakra was opened, one had to pay or suffer the price, as with anything else.

Each time a chakra was investigated, one could feel, although probably not understand, the drawbacks afforded with that chakra. In Marz’s case, and dealing with the first chakra, he would undoubtedly experience some drawbacks that others would probably associate with alternate behaviors. Only those associated with the chakras in full would truly understand their significance. Right now, it was up to Erlic to explain these said significances to both Corum, and Tristan, before Marz made enemies of both of his best friends.

It was quite easy for Erlic to hear Marz’s comments, and therefore decided that now was the best time to confront his student’s best friends. Just as Corum was about to leave, the guild master stopped him, and spoke to Marz. “Excuse me Marz,” Erlic interjected. “But I need to speak to both Corum, and Tristan for a moment.”

Erlic nodded to his student before escorting Corum, and Tristan to an area away from Marz. He could already see the affects of the chakra on Corum’s face as well as Tristan’s. “I believe both of you are in need of an explanation regarding Marz’s behavior,” Erlic began. “The first chakra is called the base or root chakra. It's the Chakra closest to the earth and represents earthly grounding. Fear is felt in this Chakra and it controls your fight or flight response. It is the Chakra of physical survival.”

Erlic believed that Tristan, and Corum would have a hard time understanding this so he tried to scale down his main terminology. “What this mean’s in Marz’s case is that because he has ventured into the first chakra, even though his visit was brief, he has, nonetheless, explored its avenues if not briefly. Because it’s considered the root chakra, all worldly possession will manifest themself, and you’ll see Marz start to exhibit strange tendencies, such as finding something, and keeping it for himself without sharing it or its knowledge with anyone. It’s one of the drawbacks of learning the chakras, but it’s something that must be done in order for Marz to gain control over his raging powers. My only suggestion is that you try to agree with him, and if you can’t, I suggest that you keep your distance from him. Once he has closed the first chakra, the feelings he now possesses will dissipate.”

Erlic hoped that his explanation would be clear to both Tristan, and Corum. If the other adventurers exhibited a certain concern, the guild master would deal with them individually. Hopefully they’ll only believe it to be his unusual nature, and leave it at that. He turned back to Marz’s friends. “Is there anything that you don’t understand, or need clarification on?” he asked, awaiting their response.
