Subject: Trust me; you DON'T wanna hear this shit
In reply to: Tristan 's message, "Wanting to listen" on 23:42:28 11/28/01 Wed

Marz held on tightly when Tristan soared higher into the sky. The bright sunlight beating down upon his face coupled with the wind tousling his hair felt absolutely wonderful! Riding on the back of a fire-breathing dragon was a totally new turn-on for him. Ginza, Tegol, and all the other creeps in Bizmar would shit if they could see him now. Word of Marz and his fierce dragon companion would spread throughout the city like wildfire, sending his many enemies into a frenzied panic! Thinking of those morons shaking in their boots as he passed overhead with Tristan made him roar with laughter.

His mood shifted to one of complete awe and quiet contemplation when they finally entered the cloud. The sudden dampness felt great after baking in the hot sun. Wide-eyed, he looked around, finding it hard to believe that he was actually inside a cloud; a raking, honest to the gods cloud!! He was a little disappointed to find that it wasn't made of thick cotton like he had envisioned, but the disappointment wasn't enough to override the excitement that consumed him. The thin air left him a bit light-headed, and giddy; somewhat reminiscent of the way he felt after swallowing down one of Jeremy's strange pills.

He leaned forward, resting his head against Tristan's neck as the dragon swooped down to a more reasonable height. Out of the clouds and back to the real world and its problems. The thought brought Tristan's earlier angry outburst to his mind. He found himself tensing up then because he realized he'd be walking on eggshells around his lover now, trying his best not to upset him again. Fat chance of me NOT getting him pissed off since that's what I seem to do best!

Sighing, Marz sat up straight then stared at the palace below them, which seemed to grown larger before his eyes as Tristan flew them closer to it. He started slightly when he heard the dragon's voice in his mind. "I can tell something's really bothering you. You can tell me what it is. I'm always ready to listen, you know, if you have anything you want to say."

Rake it all to bloody hades! Couldn't they return to the cloud or go off to terrorize some village instead of talking about his crap? Marz knew it was a good idea to discuss things that upset them about their relationship, but it was awfully hard to do that most of the time. Inwardly, he feared that his words would come out wrong since he wasn't a genius when it came to expressing himself. Tristan would probably misinterpret what he said and end up angry with him yet again.

"Are you still upset? And what is it that you hated so much down there?"

Marz chewed on his lower lip and began to fidget. "No…….I'm not upset any longer, and I think I understand why you got mad at me for moving away from you at the table," he finally said. Of course he was hoping that was all that needed to be said, but the dragon's prolonged silence told him he was waiting to hear more. Shit! Shit! Shit! What the hell was he supposed to say? He had the feeling that Tristan wouldn't be too happy to hear that he hated being in love with him!

"Well, it's like this," Marz began, keeping his eyes on a mighty wing while trying to formulate his next words. Who the hell was he trying to fool? Damn! He was never any good at thinking before he spoke! He closed his eyes briefly, finally deciding to let the words just tumble from his mouth like they usually did. "Sometimes when we're together, I feel like I'm back with Sistino......and then I get this almost uncontrollable urge to run away from you like I ran away from him so I won't have to deal with...."

He paused to shift his position a little because suddenly he felt extremely uncomfortable. "So I won't have to deal with........the insanity of........of trying my raking best to please you while knowing that........I'll never succeed."

Marz drew in a deep breath then rushed on, hoping to change the subject. "Okay, now that that's out of the way, how about we go find Corum and tease him with a little dragon-fire near his ass?"
