GHOST RIDER, THIS IS STRIKE... WE HAVE UNKNOWN CONTACT INBOUND, MUSTANG. YOUR VECTOR ZERO NINE ZERO FOR BOGEY.

Corum wasn’t sure who Mustang was, but he sure was sure about Barry’s voice telling him about something up ahead, as well as his eyes spotting the weird creatures coming toward them. “Everyone hold one tight,” Corum yelled. “Climb, climb!”

The roc easily pulled up nearly knocking Corum out of his seat. Now didn’t he say climb, and not UP? Corum simply shrugged, and waited till the roc was above the flying vultures. “OK,” he directed. “Level off.” Calmly the roc started to fly in a horizontal position. The youth looked down, and spotted a group of birds flying together, while others were engaged with the other adventurers. “OK, it’s time to kick some ass! “All right start heading directly into the middle of those birds down there.” This time Corum held on tightly.

MUSTANG, THIS IS GHOST RIDER ONE ONE SEVEN. CONTACT ONE BOGEY, 090 AT 15 MILES, 900 KNOTS OF CLOSURE.

“EEEEEEEHHH HAAAAA!” Corum shouted at the top of his lungs as the roc was nose-diving straight for the group of vultures. A sudden, and most inspiring idea suddenly came to Corum, which as we all know is usually an impossibility. He took his stiff, and aimed it directly at the birds; similar to the way a jousting knight would aim his lance at his opponent. Corum kept his head low, and made sure that Yorik was aimed right at the birds. “Eat this your morons!” Corum yelled just as the rock plowed right into the middle of the flying vultures.

“WHHHHHAAAAAAAMMMM!”

What was once a flying group of birds was now a disengaged group, with two birds plummeting towards the ground, and the rest trying to get their bearings.

As the ground started to get a lot closer, Corum suddenly decided he better tell to roc to level off, which he immediately did. “Way to go, Bessie,” Corum stated praising the roc. He looked around, and spotted one foul fowl heading directly toward Tia. “Uh uh,” Corum stated. “I don’t think so.”

Corum started giving orders to Bessie to intercept the bird heading for Tia. The roc flew directly between the two as Corum readied his staff. Once again he was in the jousting position. He looked at Tia’s roc, and the vulture heading for her. He would just have enough time to knock that buzzard out of the sky.

A LITTLE POWER...FLY THE BALL. LOOKING GOOD...HOLD WHAT YOU GOT.

THHHHUUUUUUUNK. Corum watched as the buzzard went spiraling downward only to hit the ground a few moments later. Corum was enjoying himself, and was about to engage with another bird when he was almost scared out of his wits by the floating skull Barry. “Whoa! I almost forgot about you. Though you disappeared.”

Without waiting for a response, Corum looked down, especially since he was so close to the ground now, that he spotted Marz, and something fighting Marz. “Hey, we’ve gotta help him!”

Quickly he ordered the roc to land close to Marz. As soon as the creature hit the ground, Corum was off of it, and running toward Marz, who was now wrestling with the giant vulture. Corum noticed just how much blood Marz was splattered with, and wondered just how much of it was his, and how much was the vulture’s.

Corum tried to swing, and stopped. Swung, and stopped. Each time he’d get an open shot Marz would wind up rolling on top of the creature. “Hey Marz, I know you like it on top, but for once let the other guy have the advantage.”

Surprisingly enough, Marz must have heard him for he suddenly was underneath the crazy creature. Immediately Yorik swung through the air, connecting with the vile creature, and sending it sprawling off of Marz. Corum immediately took the initiative, and pounced upon it several times before it finally stopped moving.

Happy with himself, he approached the battered Marz, who immediately grabbed him by the tunic. “What took you so long, moron????!!!!” Marz asked.

“I was fighting something……..UGLY!” Corum responded.

“Well next time make sure you’re quick about it!” Marz replied.

Corum simply stood there, and smiled. That was probably the closest thing to a compliment he’d ever get from Marz. He went over, and tried to help his friend walk over to where Tristan was.

“So like what happened?” Corum asked.

Each time the giant vultures passed in close proximity, Erlic swung his katana as best as possible, slicing through the wings, or talons, or whatever part of their bodies he could make contact with. Isobel was showing her strengths as well, as they continued to pursue, and kill the vultures. So far she had proven her ability, at least in aerial combat, something that the assassin didn’t think would happen.

This time the vulture was coming at a slightly different angle, which would make hitting it with the katana extremely difficult. Erlic readied four shurikens, and waited for just the opportune moment before unleashing them, catching the vulture directly in the face, with one of the shurikens poking out its eye.

Enraged, the beast flew away awkwardly trying to get its bearings without being able to see. Erlic continued to look around to see if anyone else needed any assistance.
