Marz filled his cup with java then snatched a blueberry muffin off one of the platters. He was still hungry because Tristan dragged him off for meditation practice before he could finish his breakfast. Five minutes of jumping jacks combined with an intense pillow fight also helped to work up his appetite.

As he bit into the muffin, he felt Tristan's leg wrap around his beneath the table. What the hell was up with that? He turned and gave the dragon a curious look. Since it was unlike Tristan to touch him, especially in public, he figured that maybe he needed more room. Quickly, he pulled his leg away then slid his chair closer to Corum's. At least now Tristan could stretch out his legs without any interference.

Once he was situated he turned his attention back to the newcomer. Marz noticed the rather harsh look she gave him after he winked at her, but he was used to women who liked to play hard to get at first so it didn't bother him in the least. In fact, the ones that acted tough and standoffish usually made the best lovers in the end since they normally had a lot of fiery passion under the rough exterior. And this Isobel, whatever-the-hell-the-rest-of-her-name-was, certainly looked like she could burn up the sheets judging by the fire that sparked from her eyes whenever she looked at him and Rowan!

His dark eyes continued to watch her while he nibbled at his muffin, simply because she was rather fascinating to look at. Her mouth had this cute way of quirking up at one corner and her smile, although it seemed forced at times, added a new dimension of loveless to her already beautiful face. He chuckled when Isobel shot Rowan an angry look over something he said about her having the right equipment and knowing how to use it. A moment later she was speaking to him in a voice that purred with pure sensuality.

"Por favor, Senor, do tell me more of these 'branches."

Marz frowned at her words because he didn't understand them. Why was she talking about poor favors and what the hell was a senor? Wasn't that like a step above a junior, or something? After a shrug, he spoke up before Rowan had a chance to offer a reply.

"Queen Kazabet will pay a thousand gold to each person that goes on the hunt for, and brings back, these branches of Midnight Hue or some shit. She needs them to make a magi staff I think. She said they could be found somewhere in a Sea of Salt near some ghost lands about thirty miles from here. Her undead Rocs will fly us to this mountain pass then wait for us there. We go through the pass to some genie garden and somewhere beyond that is that Salty Sea. I guess this tree must like to grow in salt huh? Sounds kind of stupid to me but hey, we're talking about magic crap so that explains things."

Marz was pretty proud of himself for remembering most of what the Queen told them about their mission. He grinned, took a sip of java then met Isobel's eyes. "So, are you going to come with us, beautiful? You'll get a thousand gold out of the deal if you make it back here alive with some of those branches."
