Welcome! -- Nodge, 11:35:51 03/13/03 Thu (NoHost/216.11.202.163)
Hi, and welcome to my poetry site! Here you can find all my poems, but this forum is created so that you can comment, or even post some of your own poems!
For those of you who have not operated on a voy forum or EZ board before, here are some tips. To reply, click on Post REply, and type everything you want to say in the Message subject box. That way, people won't have to click to read what you have to say. Also, no profanity or anything stupid, i do have the ability to delete your posts? Get it? Got it? Good!
Nodge

An Actual Poem..... -- Morgan of Moonlake, 18:55:14 01/14/04 Wed (cm-68-115-168-241.ash.nc.charter.com/68.115.168.241)
(This is a poem my teacher made me write)
My Miracles
Why is it that we think of the big things as miracles?
Every day there are millions of miracles,
Miracles we think naught of.
Like the fact that I got my contacts in this morning,
Or that I woke up,
Or that the sun rose up over the horizon,
Or the fact that I have talent that others may not,
Or that I have my health and live to see days others won't,
Or maybe it's the way that the world around me looks,
The fact that everything is living and striving.
All of these things are miracles....
Miracles are the things that I see and love,
Or the bubbling creek that nourishes the land,
Or the tall, tall trees that live off of the small creek,
Or the tiny buds that blossom everyday,
Or the wind that talks to me while I walk,
Or the clouds that bring the water to the tiny creek,
Many miracles, all important to life.
There are miracles that help me survive each day,
The food that is brought to my table,
Or the roof over my head,
Or the clothes on my body,
Or the thoughts that open my mind,
Or for the open mind that makes me an individual.
Now what do you think are miracles?
(Three like, one don't, Cooper thought it was too long, my mom thought it was good, Silven thought good, and Snow thought good. Otherwise, no one else has seen it. Hopes you like.)

COMPUTER TROUBLE (Sonnet, Iambic Pentameter) -- Matt, 18:42:11 02/13/04 Fri (dhcp024-208-224-096.twmi.rr.com/24.208.224.96)
Melvin went out to the computer store,
He needed help with his calculations,
He laid the computer out on his floor,
And found instructions full of frustrations.
He called the company to get some help,
The nice man on the phone would try his best,
But after pulling hair out of his scalp,
He told Melvin to run some other tests.
On every single cord he pulled and tugged,
He got so mad that he began to shout,
The helper asked if the main cord was plugged,
"What difference would that make, the powers out?"
The helper said just pack it in the box,
It's obvious your head is full of rocks.
