Thorns, slender atop slanted skull twisted and twirled, as if within their own tango against the sounds mother nature twas providing. Eyes of crystal like blue shifted across the land for but a moment, taking in each of the head’s provided and counting those whom no longer lingered. Their numbers were small, but in this she hoped their bonds would grow, for when less remained camaraderie arose. Warmed from Ra’s touch, annoyed by the pests of the sky, and yet soothed by his presence she’d allowed her words to float away from them, fading to nothing within the air’s fingers, till naught remained save the memory of such.

A pause, pregnant to some, but normal to them arrived. Muzzle still warm from the feel of his flesh, was shifted upwards as she looked towards the steed of iron like composure. His words surprising and admitting though she knew naught how to approach them from there. Thinking, synapses firing off signals from one side of the brain to the next, the raven femora finally dared to ask the question she knew must follow. “The heart? Tell me old friend. What is it that ails your heart?” Even as the lyrics were whispered Moonlight knew a full answer could not be given. Her own heart thudded within chest as she waited.
