simple... american things go for too long.
and a friend in need part 2 i noticed started 5 minutes early, had no beginning (which i thought made is so dramatic and filled you with suspense because you know it's the last episode) and finished on time (or was it past the usual time?). Anyway, simple fact is, it's too long and there has to be a certain time ammount per hour of adverts. and they just have to cut them... Not every xena episode runs for 50 minutes exactly. Didn't a friend in need II run for 60 or 55?
