Hi Joey,
I'm very glad to hear that you recognize wisdom & awareness in my words & that my words are a comfort to you...
It is quite understandable that you feel in despair in the world we live in, especially if you are someone who can more easily than most people, feel the negative vibes of the world at large...
That is true to a point, that the world is what you make of it...Provided that you do have the freedom to choose to make changes in your own life... However, it is unfortunately true, that some people are born into conditions that they do not have the ability to change & can be stuck in situations they were born into & have no control over changing for their entire lives...
Joey... I can understand that you would wonder sometimes if you are fooling yourself... Especially when you are a theripist by occupation... That gives you the challenge of trying not to approach spirituality with the cold hard scientific analysis, you would apply to psychology or other present day sciences... You can't expect to see outwardly visible & tangible proof of the realm of spiritual things, most of which are meta-physical... You probably know the word meta-physical means BEYOND THE PHYSICAL.... meaning beyond the 5 senses....
You said you have been striving for "self awareness" since 1992...
Would you please reply giving me your specific detailed meaning of "self awareness" as it applies to your useage of that term...
Seeking "self awareness" could simply mean you are seeking to know what makes you tick, emotionally &
psychologically...
OR
It could mean you are seeking "self awareness" in a spiritual way, which is usually called "self realization" instead of "self awareness"...
As a theripist, what kind of inner knowledge do you try to help your patients discover ??
I might already know the answer to that, if you had mentioned what specific psychological therepy or methodology you utilize in your approach to therapy as a theripist... I am aware that some approaches to therapy are scrictly scientific & other theraputic therapies recognize & utilize spiritual aspects in therapy...

There are several very simple things that you & anyone else can do to contribute to this world being a better place to live in...
ONE.. Stop Concentrating & Dwelling On ALL the Negativity & Horrible Things Occurring All Over Planet Earth On a Daily Basis !
TWO... You can't change the world all by yourself, BUT what you can do is "change yourself" HOW... READ ON !
STOP ACTING LIKE & BEING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE !
So many people are totally apathetic towards their fellow man & woman & could care less about what happens to anyone but themself... SAD BUT TRUE !
If all people in this world who profess to be, or consider themselves to be, a practioner of, or a follower of, one of the major world religions.....AND WOULD live & practice the positive ethics of their religion in their DAILY LIFES...then truly the world would not be the living nightmare it is for so many of the masses of the world population... Because then there would be several billion people in this world conducting themselves much more spiritually...
MORE THINGS YOU CAN DO:
Rid yourself of any of the following negative traits, that you might have, these traits play a big part in the negativity of this world.. These qualities are truly the root of almost all evil in this world...
GREED
SELFISHNESS
NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF
( you might include family & close friends in this scenerio )
POWER TRIPS
APATHY
GOD-LESS
NO POSITIVE VALUES OR ETHICS
Self-IMPORTANCE
YOU ASKED WHAT I PERSONALLY DO TO HELP... I DO THE FOLLOWING:
I make a CONSCIOUS daily effort to genuinely care for my fellow man & woman & treat everybody I meet with kindness, respect, consideration, and genuinely help my fellow man or woman in need...
I ALSO DO THE FOLLOWING & CHALLENGE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE TO APPLY THIS IN YOUR OWN LIFE !
Spirituality is about.....Creator.. Supreme Being... God... or whatever word you use for HIM.... Knowing & understanding more about HIM... from your own level of understanding.... Striving to live every moment, of every
minute, of every hour, of every day, of every year of your life, always knowing that in all this world, in all of the galaxies, in all of creation that no matter what you are doing in each second of your entire life, NOTHING is truly more important in all of existence, in any & all dimensions & planes, and this world than GOD himself.... With this outlook & understanding in your mind, heart, body, and everything else that comprises who you are, strive to reflect your silent or spoken joy of all these things to one & all... Always strive to be the best you can be as a
person, in every moment of your life... Always strive to be an living example to anyone you know or ever even casually meet, of how you are most energetically silently or verbally, projecting your CONSTANT devotion & dedication to your Creator, so that everyone you meet, will want to be more like you, in also seeking this level of spirituality...
In my opinion, this world would be a better place to live in, if more people had my defination of spirituality, committed to memory, & embedded in their minds & hearts... and actually tried to apply my defination of spirituality in their daily lives...
There are even more dedicated levels of spirituality, like making a personal commitment of all of the above, not only in your present life, but also in all your future lives....
OR as an example, praying to your Creator, to accept you offering to serve him to the best of your ability,
in each lifetime you have for the next thousand lifetimes... And will GOD help you to increase your level of devotion & dedication to HIM in each future lifetime... This is an example of a much deeper level of spirituality, than in my above defination...
WHAT I REGARD AS THE ULITMATE LEVEL OF SPIRITUALITY:
The highest level of dedication or commitment to spirituality, would be to pray to GOD as you see him,
and with your whole mind & heart, commit yourself to serving him forever, with no worry or concern for yourself,
as a result of making that commitment, & that you will keep & honor this commitment forever, once made ...
I don't think many people are ready to make this kind of a permanent commitment, because anyone that was to dedicate themself to GOD as a permanent forever commitment, in their prayers...might be expected to keep a commitment made on this level of spiritual devotion & dedication...
One more thing, I rarely give anyone my defination of spirituality above, as most people I have ever known or met, have a much shorter & much less time consuming personal defination of spirituality...
I know people that define spirituality for themselves as only thinking of GOD, 10 or 20 minutes per day, and never adding the other things in my defination to their
daily lives...
I WONDER IF ANY HUMAN BEINGS CAN GRASP WHAT IT REALLY MEANS TO HAVE GOD IN YOUR HEART... AS I REFLECT IN MY DEFINATION !
BUT... I do know one thing... If people would dare to stop considering themselves & their personal wants & desires as being the most important things in all of creation, and if anyone actually tried to live my defiination of spirituality in their daily lives, then I don't think the world could remain as messed up as it is, for very much longer...

TRUE STORIES FOLLOW OF THINGS I DID TO HELP OTHERS:
TRUE STORY:
When I was able to give different people ( 3 or 4 ), in separate occurances who was seriously about to kill themselves, a spiritual reason why they should not kill themself, causing each of them to not commit suicide...
One of them actually had a loaded gun in his mouth, with his finger on the trigger, & said I couldn't stop him, and he would commit suicide right then & there, unless I could truly give him a reason good enough for them to change his mind about killing himself in the next few minutes..... One half hour after I began my explanation to him, he took the gun out of his month & wanted to live...
TRUE STORY:
When I had my mother read a deathbed prayer that I personally wrote, for my cousin, who lived 2000 miles from me & my mother was with him, in the final hours of his life, where he was very close to his death from terminal cancer, & had been in a coma for the last 24 hours, the coma was the final medical state to occur when death was almost there...
I had dicated my prayer that I wrote in behalf of my cousin,
to my mother over the telephone...
My cousin was about to die in state of no spirituality.. he had turned away from GOD years earlier.. I had instucted my mother to read the prayer out loud, no matter if he was in a coma or not, my prayer for my cousin was my writing the prayer for him & my mother reading exactly as I had written it, without so much as changing one single word... My cousin instantly came of of his coma, as my mother told my cousin this was my prayer for him, & with him to GOD...As she prayed the 1st sentence of my prayer, my cousin opened his eyes and looked directly at my mother & he smiled as she continued to read the prayer,of which he heard every word of...
Right after she finished reading & praying my prayer to GOD for and from me & my cousin, he went back into his coma, & died in several hours...
I COULD TELL YOU HUNDREDS MORE TRUE STORIES IF I HAD THE TIME TO WRITE THEM...
Hopefully I have told you enough that you now know things that you personally can do to help & to contribute to a better world, as I endeavor to do, moment to moment...
AS I SAID EARLIER... JUST CHANGE YOURSELF...
Just live my defination of spirituality in your daily life & I guarantee that you will in fact change & be a better person than you are at this moment !
