Back from a truly fantastic vacation
Everything went really well, loved visiting the Washington/Oregon coast by camping mostly in state parks with our trailer. Walked many miles of beaches with the dogs, took lots of photos and aside from texts from the kids, just ignored the world and relaxed. LOVED IT.
How is everyone??

We're good. Aardie loves the parts of Oregon/Washington you've mentioned. He'd like to retire somewhere near there. I wouldn't mind it either.
And for the most part...I think ignoring the world is my favorite thing.

Don't know if I would recommend a place at beach level but someplace outside of Astoria or near Coos Bay would be nice. The Long Beach peninsula is very laid back and not that far from Astoria either. A lot of places reminded me of life here on the island, the pace is a little slower and that's a good thing unless you like a lot of nightlife or high end shopping, though I see Lincoln City has an outlet mall, lol.
