-Best road trip song?

Our family road trip song is "The Way" by a band called Fastball. It was popular when the kids were small and we were traveling on vacations, it always seemed to be either playing on the radio or on one of the mixed CDs Don brought along. It's a little dark but that beat, dammit.

-Best sing-along song?

It depends. Am I doing work around the house or simply wanting to cut loose a little?? I love singing along with Queen on just about anything, though "Radio Gaga" is at the top if I am getting stuff done like housework. And a sure bet if I am by myself and it comes on rotation are songs by ABBA or Amy Winehouse.

-Best movie for a rainy day?

It used to be "Sleepless In Seattle". Now I would consider "Skyfall" or maybe even "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly".

-Best comfort food?

Homemade mac and cheese, which in my house means four types of cheeses, dijon mustard and some patience while it cooks!

-Best place to get lost in?

Downtown Victoria or Seattle. Not huge enough to truly get lost but loads of great places to explore along the way.

-Best shop to spend an afternoon in?

Munro's Books in Victoria. If they had room for a coffee shop, it would be even harder to leave!

-Best book to curl up and lose yourself in?

Single book is still "The Anubis Gates" by Tim Powers. Short book series would be The Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons. Long series would be CJ Cherryh's "Foreigner" universe which has been going strong for twenty years now.

-Best road trip song?

Anything with a 'driving' beat. Though I once had a habit of starting out in the morning with Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" in the morning and then going on from there (faster).

-Best sing-along song?

Anything I know the words to....

-Best movie for a rainy day?

Singing in the rain.... ok, depends on my mood.

-Best comfort food?

Stuffed bell peppers....

-Best place to get lost in?

Smoky Mtn National Park - or the hollers of my back yard in mushroom hunting season.

-Best shop to spend an afternoon in?

Any bookstore.... oh, you said the same thing!

-Best book to curl up and lose yourself in?

Any new one.
