The glyphs spelled MULTI.

I wonder if I can bet on what the next ep's glyph code will be.

I'd bet - VERSE!

Thus MULTIVERSE.

I think we're in for an even wilder ride to come.

So in the Red!verse the Fringe Division patch has red lettering, the F's backing up on eath other, in a circular patch. When "that Peter" woke up in "a" future the Fringe officer was wearing a yellow patch with the F's backing up on each other in black lettering. So.... Yellow!verse? Also, in the final shots of the episode before Peter passed out, there seems to be a gold wedding band on his left ring finger, that briefly came into view.

The police car at the museum had the number 2026 on it, the title of the next ep? But certainly the year "that Peter" woke up in.

The half-dollar coin Peter purchased is called "Walking Liberty," appropriate since the machines are both now running under standing Liberty.

Observer on the NY street as Peter is walking up it (looking for a pawn shop).

I loved how Sam said the machine was "frustrated" - LOL!!

I liked the Riders on The Storm bit!

Sam Weiss is an interesting character so I hope we haven't seen the last of him. The Liv/Sam team worked well but the whole thing about the box was very Alias-like (the Rimbaldi machine).

Also, I am not sure about that last scene. The Fringe guy called Peter "Agent Bishop"...so "that" Peter must have lived through the 10 years that we missed, yet he seemed not to remember it at all as if he simply woke up in the future after passing out in the machine. It looked like Desmond's travelling mind, except that Peter's mind seemed to have travelled forwards not backwards. Or is it sideways?

Or was he just confused because he had been shot, which would echo his confusion after he left the hospital in the Blue Verse, and his memories will come back soon enough? I hope this is the case because it would be more consistent. I believe that the machine caused a third universe to happen 10 years back but Peter's mind somehow remembers the blue verse and the red verse and trauma gets everything mixed up in his mind. I guess we'll see next week who is still there and who is not. I bet that Peter's “There are two of you, aren’t there?” is no longer valid and that the red verse and the blue verse have merged.

There were nice moments in the episode but the Alias vibes and the Lost vibes were a bit too heavy for my taste.

I think it was a case very much like Desmond - and many others have pointed this out. Peter-2011 time-shifted into his own body in the year 2026. He didn't seem to get injured (I think it was shrapnel from that car that exploded) until the trooper recognized him and that was 'late' in that scene. I saw no blood on his T-shirt until after that nearby explosion.

But it could be he also shifted into another universe - thus into a different body of a different Peter Bishop. Remember that the glyph code was MULTI. I would almost bet the farm that the glyph code for the final episode is VERSE, thus MultiVerse, meaning there is a yellow universe.

Just realized you may not have seen the promo for next week, so don't bother with the following if you do not want to be spoiled in any way....

.

.

.

.

.

.

If there aren't two Walters then who is Peter talking to that tells him that he destroyed his world (evidently the Red!verse?). Then there is the bearded Walter who is incarcerated and that seems to be our Blue!verse Walter. I just realized that was in the promo. So there are 'two Walters' but it sounds confusing about how could he be talking to the Red!verse Walter. One idea we have is that the Red!verse Walter is a delusion out of Peter's imagination. But Walternate might be in charge of this 'world.' Yes, Red!universe Walternate in a future Blue!verse. Or are people 'verse-jumping more regularly in 2026??????

Mr X., who is going to kill Olivia, looked to be in the promo for next week. Also in the promo, the last thing shown is something of a 'Viking Funeral' - a casket on a log raft with a lot of dignitaries and military-looking types or police (maybe Fringe Division people?) standing on the banks of a bay or large river (maybe the Hudson at New York). Peter has the torch and is lighting it, as it gets sent off into the water Broyles seems to be standing in the center near where the casket/raft had been (bald black guy) and it looks like Astrid is next to Broyles. Neither Walter or Olivia is around (though a man with Walter-like hair may be standing in the back near the camera location). So if Walter is incarcerated for some reason (mental illness?) then who is the funeral for - only one answer, Olivia, though it could still be for Walter. BUT!! It looks like the older, 2026 Peter is the one lighting the Viking pyre.

There is a voice over in the promo by Peter in the promo that says something to the effect that "I've seen the future, and it's not something to be happy about...." something like that. So the point of the show next week might be just to show us 'one possible future' - something that our guys have to fight against. Something that 'the machine' or the Observers (all 12 Observers are shown in the promo) show to Peter (Peter asks for their aid, I think). It might be a future which is inexorably linked to his use of the machine, something that can only be changed in certain ways. It may be that this is then the purpose of the Fringe team in future episodes.

There is also a thing about a drawing on a refrigerator door that has Peter crying. A mother, dad and appears to be daughter in a yellow shirt (Yellow!verse? - or is it Henry?). But it could be a child of Olivia's and Peter's who may be dead. Also it appears from what Olivia said at that point that they were married but broke up (possibly over the death of the child?).

THere is also someone with two things that look like canisters for a nerve gas or may be two bombs and some people (Mr X) heading down a creekbed and towards a small stone bridge which is at the edge of an AMBERED zone, except that there is a cave-like hole in the amber under the bridge.

......the canisters could be canisters of amber.

A reference to white tulip by Walter a while back was probably supposed to make us remember the Faraday cage that Peck integrated into his own body, and which alt-Brandon said was being used in the red-verse machine. I think that was a clue that the Red!verse people had in effect turned both machines into a time-travel machine.

So it could be that Peter simply 'disappears' from our present time next week.
