Aardie loved it. Gave it a solid 9 out of ten.
For me about a 6.8.

I pretty much felt it was too long and could have easily done without a lot of the extended action scenes. Then again, I'm neither an action movie nor a comic book enthusiast.
The first 10 minutes had so many cut-away edits it annoyed the crap out of me. Thankfully, that didn't happen as much throughout the rest of the movie.

I like SJ's portrayal of Black Widow a lot.

Really enjoyed the first Iron Man (for Robert Downey Jr., mostly) and Batman Begins, so I guess I'm more character/story-driven? I don't know.

I agree with you AS, that Marvel is doing it right.
The interlacing and arc-driven story lines are up my
alley so I'll continue to join aardie in going to see
the movies because of that. Joss' influence doesn't hurt either. :o)
