Subject: You will never leave Harlan alive.....

Well, Raylan's kill(s?) came early this season. For Raylan the work was mostly - strangely enough - about life. Somewhat about saving himself and that part of himself that he saw in Kendall. But perhaps ultimately for that which was rarely seen - family.

And now Raylan has a chance at a life himself. But that file he waved in Boyd's face last ep is the last hurdle in Raylan's way home - to a real home. Strange, I have the same feeling about the end of this season of JUSTIFIED as the 6th season of BUFFY. Both characters saw the light at the end of a personal tunnel at the end of their penultimate season, and we know that Buffy had, and Raylan will have a final exceptional hurdle before fully enjoying that light - if at all.

It doesn't look like Art is ever going to be the same. It appears he has some memory loss and may have some paralysis or palsey in his left hand. I do not expect to see Art 'back in the saddle' next season. I imagine what we will see of Art might be in a rehab facility.

But Art did give Raylan the news - his transfer to Florida had been approved. But then we all knew there was unfinished business in Kentucky. I was somewhat surprised just how much that unfinished 'Boyd' business wasn't on Raylan's mind when he met with Rachel and the AUSDA - that Rachel had to remind him and reinvigorate his interest.

It just goes to show how much Raylan's thoughts were in Florida - perhaps for the whole season. Perhaps then it is well that he did not have to do that 'slaying' which needed to be done (the two Crowe brothers). For that could have darkened Raylan's outlook and sullied his thoughts about Florida.

So when we saw Ava being sprung from prison it was not at all surprising (actually it was expected) that she would next season be working for the Marshals to bring down Boyd. There is also no doubt too that it was Raylan's idea, after his abortive visits with Eva last ep.

So how will the series end? I'm thinking a coal mine may play a big part as a stage for either Boyd or Raylan or both. Will Ava continue to work with the Marshals or will she not betray Boyd - or will she walk a fine line. Will it really be a showdown between Boyd & Raylan? Will either leave Harlan alive?

. . .

If the show wants to end on a hopeful note Raylan will leave Kentucky to join his family in Florida. If not, everything is possible but I don't think he will die.

We're back to the pilot, although a bit differently, with Raylan and Ava on the same side, and Boyd on the other side of the table.

Raylan shot his old mine buddy but missed his heart on purpose, I don't think he will miss this time, if he has to put Boyd down.
