Evidently, the power outage or maybe a lightning strike has screwed over my HVAC system. I'm swimming in my own sweat right now. But I just got a call back from my HVAC guy and he's coming up. Either the system has a problem (which it shouldn't because he just tuned it up last month) or my thermostat is screwed up. My money is on the thermostat. Dang digital thing, I went to check it, tried to lower the temperature and the pad went blank. But now it is back and says the system is ok. SO, I don't know what is happening. Momentary glitch? Thankfully, the sky has been mostly cloudy today and the house hasn't gotten that warm.

I finally got the house cooled off. My HVAC guy thinks the thermostat is going kaput. I had to turn it down to 69*F to get it feeling right in here. But we think that is actually only 74*F.
