Lots of love, gentle handling and human interaction will do your new kitties a world of good. So happy for you!
May you enjoy many years of love and contentment with your little ones.

When I first got Bijou (at 9 weeks) from the rescue, I was told he was a girl.
Then I took him to the vet and he pointed out his tiny cotton balls.
I thought it was just some extra fuzz back there. It was the first time I ever had a male cat.

As fate would have it, the name worked out for either gender and he was the sweetest boy ever.
I've since learned a lot more about felines. Humans too.
;o)

Would love to see a picture when you feel they're ready.

I took it yesterday when Leto/Tosca (so for now "Toto") took refuge near my old boots:

Taking a picture of Tibčre is more difficult since he's hiden behind the toilet:

A few minutes ago, I found Leto in this unusual place (I have a sort of doorless wardrobe in my bathroom wherein I leave clothes that are either humid, or meant to be wear quickly...or when my actual wardrobe in the bedroom is too full):

It's actually a good place for human interaction and I scratched his/her head and cheeks which seemed to please him/her.

They are less kittenish and more young cats than I had expected. Which means it may take a little longer to gain their full trust but they will be quite the pair of little lions in your life!

They are definitely more than 2 months in my opinion, but they look older on picture. They are still quite small 5 I have very small feet if you need an idea of Leto's size), and light enough to climb everywhere.

I wish I could take them to the vet and know their age.

We now have a purring kitten on board!

Tibčre is back to the hiding place of the century (behind the toilet), but Leto is curled up inside a bucket in the bathroom (it's comfy because there are two floor clothes in it), which is much better than the litter house, so I quietly went closer and started scratching his/her head, and then I stroked his/her back and suddenly he/she was purring, and it was louder and louder, and he/she even offered her belly to my hand.

Now let's cross our fingers that he/she won't regress tomorrow, that Tibčre will follow on the same path soon, and also that my sleeping kittens won't have a big party tonight, for I teach early in the morning...

Once they associate you with food and caresses, their trust will be much easier to gain. That said, you may find the occasional backwards times if they find loud noises or strangers entering scary-do any vets the remake house calls? Once they are more settled in that may be a good alternative to having to cage and transport them to a clinic. As long as you explain to the vet their origin, that may be a route to take to check age, sex and general health.
