Whenever I think of college towns and Indiana, my mind goes to Bloomington and the Cutters. You can thank "Breaking Away" for that.

The only time ISU usually come to people's minds is Larry Bird's senior year in basketball when they played for the National Championship against Magic Johnson and Michigan State. It was the only game they lost all season.

I did attend the Indiana University Geological Field Camp School out near Cardwell, Montana, in the Bitter Root Mtns, though. Never saw so damn many sidewinder rattlesnakes in my life! Even sat down next to one once. Luckily, it was still a cold morning and the snake was lethargic. But we had one TA that seemed to draw the snakes. He'd be walking out in a pasture and you'd see him jump in the air and some snake make a half-hearted stab at him.
