It's not that Buffy CAN'T have a baby, it's that she makes a decision that she WON'T have a baby. Women in far worse circumstances have babies and life goes on. I am pro-choice but in this case, I am a little unhappy with her reaction to realising she fucked up and got knocked up.

That being said, I nothing about the comic-verse of Buffy, but I would be curious to see what would happen if Willow was able to look into the fetus's genetic background and see who the father is. I tend to think that with Joss being Joss, it's going to be complicated and while Buffy may indeed go through with her decision, there will be more happening than just a simple termination.

It's another one of those things that comes with life, adnd Buffy is all about living in two worlds and meeting and overcoming the obstacles (not that a child would necessarily be an obstacle) in both. I'm betting they threw this out at the end of the one comic and she'll reconsider it in the next.
