Subject: Is your cat making you nuts?

If you like cats, have a cat, or are simply interested in a superb popular science piece, do read this article in The Atlantic by Kathleen McAuliffe: “How your cat is making you crazy.” It’s about new research on the disease toxoplasmosis, caused by infection by the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii.

Was reading about this a while back...would be interested in seeing if this ever gets conclusively proved or not. I know we're reluctant to start gardening here until we can get a cat-proof enclosure for the raised beds. On the other hand, I think my kids have a lot stronger immune systems than their "uber-clean, disinfect everything" cousins and a good deal of their friends as well, simply because they've lived around a variety of animals all of their lives.
