Subject: I guess some of this will be set in my home state of Indiana.

That is if they stick to his life story. His log-splitter days were in Indiana. Before he and his family moved to Illinois.

Lincoln once gave a speech in the village that is my post office address. It is said that he was in Vincennes and canoed upstream on the Wabash then upstream on Mariah Creek to the Emison mill on that creek and then took the road into Bruceville. Which means Lincoln may have been on both of my farms. I own the land on the north bank of Mariah Creek at the junction with the Wabash and about a mile up the creek. And the old road to Bruceville from the old Emison Mill crosses not 50 feet from my house and is now a part of my side yard.

But no, Lincoln did not sleep here. He may have slept in the old Emison house on land adjacent to my own which was torn down in the 1970s. It was also known as Fort Petticoat, because when the men were away at war (War of 1812/Napoleonic Wars) it is said a band of Indians attacked the house where only the women were in residence and they had to fight them off.

Trailer released for Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter - Alan Tudyk will be appearing in this epic film in June 2012.

It's an Alternate Reality flick, right? The trailer reminds of Underworld with a Victorian flair. Interesting. Your history is more interesting to me though....

.... so, yes!

I'd hate to think my woods and swamplands are filled with the undead.

;-)
