I swear that either a nursemaid dropped him on his head or sociopaths must run in the Lannister line and skip a generation. Jaime and Cersei certainly brought a wee monster into the world when that little shite was born!

the experience is very different, anyway.

I see flaws that readers don't really notice or don't care about because for them it's all about the "adaptation" of a beloved book while for me this is just a tv show that I "assess" as such (BTW it made me wonder how I would have considered Peter Jackson's trilogy if I haven't read the LotR and hadn't been so happy to see the epic journey I knew and MY characters fleshed out on screen. It was a good adaptation, but were the films that good? Maybe not...).

On the other hands I liked the whores scene with Littlefinger's solliloquy from episode 7 while many readers hated it, arguing that it was useless in terms of plot and gratuituous, forgetting that when you haven't read the books you don't know what's going on in the character's mind, and that a tv show must find its own way to provide certain informations about them.

The scene, not only revealed things about Littlefinger's agenda and character, but also had meta-quality and it was very Richard III-like! The whores could have been less loud but the scene was cool in terms of writing...and I really like the actor (he played the Mayor of Baltimore on The Wire!).

As for the actor playing Frey I must have seen him in something else. He's British, so he must have played in many English films...

Book Tyrion went to battle, tv Tyrion didn't. Book Shae is younger and less mysterious than tv Shae. Oh well.

Petyr needed that speech, just like Varys needed his talks with Eddard. Purists will complain but within the constraints of a tv script , further actions by those characters would end up being bizarre and it would do the purist fans a world of good to relax and enjoy the fact the books havebeen able to reach a new audience, something that may help nudge the author to actually finish the series off!!!
