Subject: Goddamn Microsoft has ruined my computer with its Win7 SP1 download.

I cannot get Javascript to work on webpages. Do you know what percent of webpages use Javascript? Nearly every one!

I cannot get some programs to work on computer. My genealogy program which uses the internet won't work correctly.

I uninstalled the damn SP 1 and it was the only updated dated July 1,, 2011, and now I have a boatload of updates with that date. I think I will uninstall every one. My guess Is the computer is fucked royally though.

I click on the files icon and my Libraries fold comes up and it shows as empty.... but the look up places I've been and find 'Documents' and dang if it doesn't show up as under Libraries in the file path.

I'm fucked, just when I got DSL.

At some point in the not-so-distant future, we're supposed to be upgrading at work from a DOS based POS system to a Windows based system-not happy about that. What we have now works and there is no chance of viruses or weird-ass updates since every upgrade is strictly through our software company. We don't even want to let the store clerks know the new system will have internet capability because I can just imagine the kind of shite we could end up getting. Stories like yours don't make me much happier.

You might want to try a recommended Windows forum to see if anyone can offer some tips. I'd ask Andy but he's headed off to Victoria to go-kart with Don and Ali...

But there is still some things hinky with the computer that it didn't fix. Like Windows Explorer no longer holds the links to My Documents, My Pics, My Music, My Vids..... I cannot imagine what happened to them. And I cannot 'put them in there.'
