Observe: This is the outline for the speech, and as far as I have to go in developing it. In actuality, it didn't take me all that long to come up with. This should easily waste 3-5 minutes... ^_^

I. My Interest Is...
A. I have been playing clarinet for 8 years
B. I have owned three clarinets (entry level(plastic Selmer), intermediate (LeBlanc), professional (Buffet R-13
II. How I became interested in it
A. I started the instrument 8 years ago as a school class
B. I started private lessons 2 years after
i. My lessons were with Dave Duree
ii. This is when I started becoming really interested in playing the clarinet
iii. Most of my advancement in playing the instrument proficiently has happened after starting studying in applied lessons
III. What I do/plan to do with this hobby
A. I am in a number of ensembles for the clarinet currently
i. McDaniel College Band, Concertmistress
ii. Encore Community Band, Concertmistress
iii. McDaniel College Clarinet Ensemble
iv. Encore Clarinet Quartet
v. McDaniel College Woodwind Quintet
B. My plans
i. When I get to McDaniel College, I plan to major in music (Theory & Composition) and minor in performance on my clarinet
ii. I plan to be a teacher of private/applied lessons on the Clarinet in the future.
