I have "service connected" disability for "asbestosis of the lungs" contracted while serving aboard ship as a boiler-tender during Vietnam. It took me almost ten years to get a "30%" rating, and now, in the last year, the VA is trying to cut my benefits back to "0%" in the interest of budget cutting. I can relate to your being pissed off, I sure am........but sadly, I don't think there is a damn thing we can do.
There is a whole new crop of guys coming home that need care, and they are going to sweep the old 'nam vets out of the way, just like they did the WWII guys when we came home.
"LIE, LIE TILL WE DIE" IS ALIVE AND WELL.......they want us dead so we can't collect what we ARE OWED!! Better that the bankers and the politicians make themselves rich than support us when we need it most.
