The VA uses the Defense Personnel Records Information Retrieval System for confirm info given by claimants. Maybe you could ask that they confirm the attacks, since they have the information already. Does any family member or friend have old letters that would have mentioned enemy attacks? Have you just looked up PleiKu to see if any veterans have posted sites? don't give up. Good luck
