Hi Paul,diabetes mellitus(type 2)is one of the diseases that the VA lists for service-related benefits.Keep in mind,that if you incur another medical condition as a result of having type 2 diabetes that you can also make a claim for benefits with the VA under secondary-connection.There is information on this sight click VA CLAIMS go to secondary-connection heading halfway down the page and read the article written by Raymond Gustavson.Take care and good luck with your claim
