I came across your post in my searching of other Vietnam Vets with Stage 4 GBM. My father, Brian J. Bennett passed away on October 14, 2011 from a Stage 4 GBM. He served in Vietnam for exactly a year and was a petroleum technician. He was treated at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC by Doctor Philip Gutin who has refused to sign off on a link between my father being exposed to petroleum and Agent Orange and so my mother will be denied VA benefits. We were also trying to get the VA to send home health care to my parents house but they also refused because GBM is not on their approved list. Very frustrating. Dr. Gutin stated in front of my father, sister and cousin that they have seen a link between petroleum and GBM's and my father then stated that he was a petro. tech in Vietnam and then it was just left at that. My father was diagnosed June 2011 and passed in October 2011. His cancer was very rapid moving and took away his ability to walk, eat, see, etc. Currently my two sisters and my mother are on a mission to get some answers and a little justice for my Dad. He was aw great man who took care of his family. He was the current Commander of the American Legion when he passed and was very active in the VA community.
