On his military discharge Form DD214 papers it should state if he was there. It is located in the area marked "Remarks" on line 30. It should read something like "Indochina: YES

Also on line 24 should be listed some medals like: Vietnam Service Medal or Vietnam Campaign Service Metal.

If you do not have his Form DD214 you can request a copy ftom the VA.
