Subject: Deceased vetran's family member looking for any information...

I am the neice of Sgt. Michael G. Houston, who served in the 101st Airborne from January 1969 - January 1971. He is a decorated veteran and after returning home to Rockford, IL, he was tragically killed on his motorcycle in August of 1974 at the age of 29. He volunteered at the age of 24 and was working in the DMZ I believe in June of 1969. If anyone served with him or knew him, I would be so grateful to hear any stories or make copies of any pictures you may have. I am presently working on a biography of his short life and his heroic efforts in Vietnam. My family is estranged and I have only a few items of his. He receieved a bronze medal and 11 other medals. I am in the process of getting replacements of these medals. Again, his name is: Sgt. Michael G. Houston from Rockford, IL. Please email me with any information or pictures you may have. I will be forever grateful to pay tribute to this wonderful man and all who have and continue to serve our country. Respectfully, Lorraine Houston-Janicke
