I know I did the right thing. I called the BON and spoke with someone this morning. I know like you said Addie, this person wouldn't ask for help. I don't believe she feels she has a problem. Even if on occasion I felt I had a problem, I was always trying to think of an angle to enable myself to continue to drink.

It's going to be rough for her in the beginning as it is/was for all of us. I know her partner is in school and not working and her mother is ill. I feel bad that the economics are going to be so badly affected. However, So long as she hasn't been diverting, and I don't believe she has been, she should be able to keep her job as long as she abides by the BON's recommendations; right?

How long does it generally take from the time of the call being made till the nurse is notified? I turned myself in because I was tired of looking over my shoulder waiting for someone to learn of my dui's and couldn't take the heat anymore. So I don't know how long it takes when someone calls on another. I'm thinking some sort of rehab will be recommended right away. Nothing would make me happier for this nurse than to see her on her way to being clear headed and free of the need to take all those pills every day!
